Meditation has been around for thousands of years. It’s mentioned in the Bible. Buddha used meditation to reach enlightenment. He was a scientist actually. Though meditation was being practiced long before him, he was looking for a method that actually remove suffering. Meditation has nothing to do with religion. It’s just a practice for focusing the mind on the present moment rather than it randomly drifting into the past or future.
