Just thought I’d share the magic of traveling abroad. I’ve done lots of seminars and courses over the years, but nothing compares to the wisdom I gain when visiting other countries and cultures. Indeed, I think of all learning as learning about other cultures. For example, my decade of study in Enlightenment is really a study of the cultures of enlightened people over the centuries.
Here’s a quick shot in Santorini. It’s a magical place where you are at the top of a mountain AND the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean, at the same time. There’s no other geological feature like it on earth. Especially unique is how the people adapted for centuries by creating caves and dwellings into the solid rock face of the volcanic cliff. Santorini, or Thira as it is really called, has been inhabited since the 9th century BC!
There is much we can learn in America from connecting with the ancient cultures from which we came. If you haven’t travelled abroad in a while, the time is NOW! Travel is one of the most important activities to expand the mind and open the heart to the beauty of this big beautiful ball in space we call Earth.
